Single core XLPE insulated and PVC sheathed 600/1000V with copper conductor is used in common cathodic protection applications, including buried structures in chlorine-free soils and fresh waters.

Single core PVDF insulated/HMWPE sheathed 600/1000V cable is suitable for open hole deep well ground beds and anode cable tails, where H2S or high levels of chloride ion species are, and for where chlorine gases may be evolved.
